running and achilles pain?

running and achilles pain?
nothing "happened" to my achilles but lately it is very tight and when i start running it takes a little while to loosen up. anyone deal with this? any tips? good stretches?

How new are your shoes? Are they rubbing against your achilles? If it stops hurting once you get going, it may just be tight but I would still see a dr b/c you don't want to mess with your achilles!

this. I was having some a few weeks ago. Putting your hands against a wall and putting one foot back, lean into the wall. That will stretch your calf. If you bend the stretched leg, it will further target the Achilles

Definitely ice. My DH uses compression socks or KT Tape to help as well. He also massages his achilles on a regular basis.
