I took my dog to the Vet

about his hot spots. UGH he's a mess, has a bad staff infection and a really awful ear infectionChat Icon I felt so bad that I didn't know about the ear. So after a bunch of meds and skin tests and $338. dollars later we are back. At least now I know and can treat him.
The Vet said I really need to think about getting him fixed, he feels his hormones are triggering it. Anyone ever hear of that? I have no problem getting him fixed it's DH, like we're taking his manhood away--roll eyes (hense why we have 6 kids!)
Anyway's wondering what your thoughts are.

Re: I took my dog to the Vet

Yea I've been hearing that alot. My husband had this crazy idea of breeding him, I knew it would never happen and now he's gonna be 4. The Vet said we have to wait now until his skin is better but recommends getting him fixed this summer. I'm nervous. I had a cat years ago and after we had him fixed he wasn't the same. I know it sounds crazy but it was almost like they gave him to much anastesia (sp?) anyway's he died a month later. Just like that out of the blue. Before that he was fine and playful, so ever since then it scares me to put them under. I think though if this skin thing is because of that I'm gonna have to. ugh
