Crochet Pot Holder
Hi all,
I haven't had much time to work on projects since my arrived - seems I almost always have one of them in my arms
I made crochet pot holders as part of my MIL's birthday gift and wanted to share a picture.
The best part is that I found the pattern on pinterest!

Here's a link to the pattern. She has pretty strict guidelines about selling items made from her patterns.

Don't worry --- I probably wouldn't be able to figure out how to make it anyway. I am horrible at following patterns, it's just intriguing to me...wondering if it was done in all one piece or seperate pieces and then stitched together!

Hey, its no skin off my back either way - just thought I'd mention it since I know you were thinking of getting into selling your work at some point (which you totally should, I've loved everything you've posted!).
You make 2 identical pieces and then stitch them together. The raised part is FPDC.
I like following patterns when I can figure them out ... but I'm also someone who needs very exact specific recipes when cooking, probably why I do more baking.

Re: Crochet Pot Holder
Right now I have sold some items to close friends and family. It has kept me more busy then I care to be with a baby on the way in 18 days! I feel like I'm always working on something for *someone* but it's close friends asking if I can make things for them, so I feel bad saying no. But right now everyone knows I am taking a haitus from that! If I make anything for anyone for the next few months it will be the baby's baptism blanket, maybe a hat or two for the baby when it's born, something along those lines. I really want to learn how to make baby booties!
I never did end up selling to that woman for her children's clothing boutique. She wanted to make her a lot of things and give it to her all at once for her to sell, and to be honest I never had the time to really got a good amount of stuff together. I've made blanket sets for baby showers, hat sets for my daughter's friends, sets for people to give as gifts for birthday parties and stuff, and never had time to really put a lot of other stuff aside. Oh well, maybe something for the future! I have certainly learned a lot about crochet techniques in the past few months and I am very happy about that!
