Those with a heart rate monitor?
Do you ever have problems with it?! Specifically with it reading your HR? Sometimes it takes a while for it to detect a hr. It will display an error message but about 5 min into running, it finally picks it up, so I know I'm wearing it correctly. I was curious of its just me!
I have a polar FT4.

Re: Those with a heart rate monitor?
i was having trouble with mine a couple of times in the last few weeks with it not reading my heart rate in the beginning.
i think my problem was that i was running it under very warm before putting it on (bc i was cold and it felt better warm).
ever since then i only run it under cold water and it has been working fine.
don't know if thats going to help you though

I haven't had problems, but I have read if you lick the receptors on it, before putting it on, it makes a better connection

Re: Those with a heart rate monitor?
I run it under water before I put it on. Sometimes it still does not work properly for the first mile or so. It will read my HR as 99% of my max! Eventually, it reads normally. I only use it on days I do a workout, not on my easy runs because it frustrates me.
