The Hunger Games Trilogy (DEF. SPOILERS!!!!)
I loved the 1st book. I had a hard time with 2nd book but it got better. I felt the 3rd one what just too much nonsense.
I loved the ending though. I guess I needed some 'calmness that came with it.
Now... the movie is coming out! And it's PG 13. But how in the World can I go see this movie? There was so much gore in the books! I hate scary movies. I don't think I can watch it. I am too chicken.

I'm not a big fan of gore either and admittedly, it's been awhile since I've read them, but I don't remember THAT much gore? I'm dyinggggg to see what they make of the mutts, but that's the most disturbing thing I really remember. 
If you're too worried though, I'd wait for it to come out on DVD. Somehow not having it on the big screen in the dark on surround sound and in the comfort of your own home makes movies like that less scary for me. I could NOT see Paranormal Activity in the theater. I didn't even really want to watch it at home, but I kinda was in the kitchen while DH was watching and got sucked in.
I'm going to see it this Friday, I'll let you know if it's gory!

Ditto. I was talking to my co-worker about it and yeah, I guess the death scenes have potential to be gory, but I don't remember them being very detailed or anything in the book. I'm sure they won't take it too far in the movie either. It's not really supposed to be a horror movie.

The movie was soooooo good. Not gory. I have to say its one of the best adaptations unlike others which shall not be discussed.

Agreed! Though I still enjoyed the books about 10x more than the movie. There's only so much you can cram into 2 hours! But they hit all the major plot points and kept the changes to a minimum. I really enjoyed it! It makes me really wanna re-read the book though!
