ShopRite shop at home- review

Someone posted about this a few weeks ago, and I have used it the past 2 weeks so I just wanted to throw a review up.

So far, AWESOME! I was hesitant because $10 is a lot for me to go pick it up. However, the sales at ShopRite are better than anywhere else, so I decided to give it a try. Let me say... WOW. First of all, I like the fact that you can click on the circular to add stuff to your cart.

Also, both weeks, the lady who was shopping for me called me to clarify things on my order. For example: "The deoderant you chose is not in stock in the scent you chose. Can I substitute another scent? Or can I price out other deoderants in the same scent for you and call you back?" That's an actual conversation we had.

The produce and meat I got was very excellent. Probably better than anything I could pick out there myself.

The times are sooner than Peapod. I finished doing my order by 10am both days and I could pick it up at 3.

My only complaint is that when you finish your order it gives you directions about pulling up into the fire lane and an employee will assist you. This didn't happen. I sat in the fire lane for 10 minutes or so and no one came, so I did have to go into the store, but that was not a huge deal. I wa sin and out in under 5 minutes. They shouldn't have it on the website, though, if that's not how it works IRL.

So, that's my review!! Chat Icon

Re: ShopRite shop at home- review

It sounds awesome, but I still can't see myself paying 10 and still having to drive to the store and get out of the car. I know it saves time in the long run but $10 is a lot for me these days! But I will keep it in mind for if I ever do get a job again.. it could be fabulous to stop and pick everything up before I head home on a weeknight!!!!!

Thanks for taking the time to share!

I used the service before a party. It was so much easier than walking around the store and filling up two wagons. They did it for me. The food was refridgerated until I picked it up and I was able to use coupons. And I like that I can send DH to pick it up without him adding $$ to the bill with his impulse purchases. ANd It was so worth it not to drag my DS into the store. I like their prices too.
I am currently ordering for tomorrow and we'll see how the meat and produce are.

Thank you for this. The $10 charge is definitely worth my time.

Do you pay when you get there or do you pay online beforehand? What's the deal with coupons? I know you said you can click on the circular. Is it the same circular you get delivered to your home? I know the sales at Stop and Shop are not always the same deals on Peapod.

You pay when you get there.

All the sales are the same as what is in the circular. You give them your coupons when you get there and they deduct it from your bill. THey ring you up at the little managers station.

For me the $10 is worth it, as I avoid impulse buys. Also, at the store I go to they have signs showing where to park for shop at home. Only a few times no one has come out after a few minutes. I called from the car and they had someone come out.

I love it too. Working on my order right now actually. I always go in to pick it up though. I order from W. bab.
