Sensory Issues and Bad Allergies. Plus some additions

DS has some sensory issues. I find that he is outgrowing some of them, but he still is a bit cautious.

Now he has such bas eczema so he's freaking out when he's scratching all over. The Ped gave me eye drops to give him and an eczema cream.
First off... giving eye drops to a toddler is impossible. Especially one who gets his defenses up going near his face with something that's uknown to him

I feel so bad and don't know what to do. I keep telling him that I'll put on "magic cream" to make the itchies go away.
He feels most comfortable when he's being held when we're standing. Not so easy late at night when we're exhausted.

I do have to add how proud I am of him at the Doc's office. I went through everything with him what the Doc will do. I prepped him well. He first was hesititant to get weighed and was crying, but the nurse bribed him with a toy (he's cautious with new stuff he's not familiar with. especially toys that talk until he gets used to it).
He was really good with the Doc. Opened his mouth, which I was shocked. Only time he freaked was looking in his ears. He even talked to the Doc when he was listening to his heart. It was sweet
Although sometimes I feel like when he's coming so far he has one of his screaming tantrums where he can't tell me what's wrong. Out new thing is feelings, but when DS is focused on one thing it's hard for him to change subjects or answer a question.
Sorry for going on and on. Sometimes I feel like this board is the only one who understands what I'm feeling.
He was fixated on bunnies b/c of the holiday and if you talk about something else he goes back to bunnies.
BTW... we're Jewish and don't celebrate Easter. LOL

My DS has eczema, and I have found with applying cream, it always works best when I am consistent and do it as part of his routine. He gets it every time he comes out of the bath tub. If I skip at all, it always seems harder the next time I have to do it.

The same with other things, like toothbrushing, giving medicine, etc. Right now, we have been giving him allergy medicine (OTC). When he is getting it every night, he learns to expect it and doesn't fight as hard, but when he gets sick, those first few days are a nightmare, it's a 2 person job.

My DS used to have a hard time with the doc looking in his ears, but now, it's his mouth. He freaks out when they want him to open up and put the tongue depressor in. Every time we get a note from school or daycare about pink eye, I pray he doesn't get it, because I literally do not know how I would get the drops in his eyes.
