Which would you pay first?
Okay, I know all about the snow ball effect....however, I'm having a hard time deciding what cc to pay off first. We have 4 credit cards: Card A: 1.99% interest rate (life of the balance transfer) Card B. 3.99% interest rate (life of the balance transfer) Card C: 0% on balance transfer until March 2013 Card D: 0% on balance transfer until March 2013
All cards have balance transfers on them only. A, B, and C, all have roughly $2000 balance each Card D, has a decent amount more.
So, which do you pay off first? I woud be inclined with Card B, but I'm worried about having balances on C and D when March 2013 come around, especially D.
Thoughts?

What will the rate be on Card D in March 2013? Can you transfer to Card A in the future or will future transfers not be eligible for the 2% rate?

Re: Which would you pay first?
What are the transaction fees for each balance transfer offer?? Some cards charge you as much as 4-5% of the total amount transferred ON TOP of the amount you are adding to the new card...I would see if the transaction fee is 2% or less and go with that.
I would also pick the 0% offer first. Either put all the balances on either card C or D if the transaction fee is 2% or less. In March 2013, if you still have $1-2,000 left on that card, you can probably get another offer to transfer it to another card for 0%. Sometimes you have to hop from bank to bank to get the best rate/terms.

How much of a balance is card D. Is it 10k? 20k?
I'd probably pay off the 3.99% first since you are paying interest on that now and keep my eye out for another BT offer when card D promo rate is soon to expire.

Re: Which would you pay first?
Thanks. I decided to pay off the 3.99% and credit card D - at least get it to a more reasonable state. I so want these cards to be gone!
