First visit to ob today- question

Hi girls,

I feel sooo spoiled by the REs office, the transition to the OB is a tough one.

I went today, 6 days after my last scan at the RE.

On 8w2d the baby measured 8w2d. Perfect. The HB was great at 171. Perfect. Got a great clear picture.

Today at the OB, I am 9w1d. The sonogram machine was definitely older, I could barely make out the heart fluttering, but I was relieved to see it was there. She measured it three times and it kept coming up as 8w6d. Now, I know that is only 2 days, but knowing now that I won't be back there for ANOTHER MONTH Chat Icon I am nervous. I haven't had many symptoms and I feel like they are fainter than before.

Anyone else measure a little smaller and it turn out okay? Am I worrying over nothing? It is just a month is a looooooong time!

All machines are slightly off. You could be measured on 10 different machines and they could all be slightly off. 2 days is nothing to be worried about! Congrats!

ETA: There is also a margin of error to account for. As long as it's within 5 days, it's fine.

I feel ya. I had a hard time, too. I noticed the machine wasn't as clear as my RE, and I felt like running back there, lol! The hardest part of this is seeing them only once a month.... ugh. I think we should all chip in for a machine and visit each other once a week. We can call it Sonogram Sundays! Chat Icon

Same thing happened to me. At the OB, the baby was measuring 1 day less, and you could hardly see anything but snow!! The doctor actually said she could actually "stretch" the points to make it match but it was not necessary since everything looked great! Don't worry! Chat Icon
