Outlander - Book 4 (Drums of Autumn) - possible spoilers

Im having a really hard time getting through this one. The first 3 you couldnt pry out of my cold dead hands.. I dont know why. I think it has something to do with them being in America now.

I found that some of her books were almost like a set up for the new storylines. Personally, I loved DoA but I had trouble getting into the Fiery Cross.

My friend who recently finished the series had the same problem you are having with DoA. Push through, it get's really good!!

I did the same thing, I got maybe 30% through it and put it down to read the new BDB book and I haven't gone back to it yet. I really want to force myself through it though because I've loved the series so far.

I'm a HUGE outlander series fan, but I have to be honest, I think the books get worse and worse as they go. The only reason I read them now is because I'm so attached to the characters. Some of the story lines are good still, but they just don't compare to the first three books. Chat Icon

I stopped reading the series after the 4th book, I just wasn't into it at the time. Hopefully I will get to pick it up again later this year.
