help me understand this...

So i went to weight watchers last saturday and I was .4 away from my goal weight. I go about the weekend as i normally do then tuesday night i went out to eat for my bday yes i ate more then normal but nothing crazy I worked out sunday-weds and yet when i got on the scale this morning i am UP 3 pounds!!
I am devested that i was so close to goal weight now now im so far away again.... Why is it that the one time i eat off my diet even if i work out afterwords my body holds onto it.. The other girls all ate the same stuff and they didnt gain anyhing but me i gain 3 pounds that i cant get ride of.....
:( i feel so discougared now...

It could easly be water weight! I bet you are not as far from your goal as you think! Everybody's body reacts differently to foods so you can't compare yourself to these other girls. Wait until your weigh in and try not to worry about it! Drink tons of water too!

Thanks, im going to drown myself in water these next two days lol I weigh in saturday morning and im going to cry if i dont reach goal i was sooo close last week Chat Icon

Same thing happened to me last week!! I was 130.4 (.4 from my goal). Then I was 133 the next week. I did 2 days of detox where I drank a lot of water and avoided salt. Two days later I weighed 129.6.

its a process! If you don't hit it this week don't beat yourself up. You will get there! How do you feel otherwise? How do your clothes fit?

I retain water like whoa. A few days of eating salty foods or eating a bit differently, even sometimes 1-2 meals, can put me up 5 lbs on the scale. Before my period - forget it. I had to start understanding that if your clothes fit the same it's pretty unlikely that you gained 3 lbs of fat from a meal or two. It WILL subside, and I know it's so discouraging but try not to get caught up in the number!
