Please help Duke
Hi Everyone,
There's a petition that can be signed to help poor Duke. Please sign it if you can. It breaks my heart what this poor innocent dog and his family are going through.

My husband met the family at The Islip Town Hall he was so upset after meeting the kids. He said there was about 5, 10 year old girls asking people to sign. Of course he signed it and I just signed it online.....

OMG he's ordered to be put to death on August 25th???? Ughhhhh

Thanks again for signing. Lolita, thanks for posting it on other sites.
I met Duke and his mom back in November when I voluntered at the shelter and I was so upset when I learned that he was living in the shelter for two years because he was in the middle of a lawsuit. He really is such a friendly playful dog and I can't believe he has to go through this.

Dukes owner emailed me this morning with this......
Gina,
Thank you very much. Duke was able to get a stay. He is saved for the time being. We have an uphill battle with the justice system. We are still collecting signatures to give to the judge evetually. Thank your husband for me as well for signing. We need all of the support that we can get.

Oh, that's such great news!!!!!!!! Thank you for sharing. I really wish he didn't have to live in the shelter, he should be able to go home to his family. Atleast he gets to live though thats a step in the right direction.

I read Dukes story and I think it's just horrible what they are trying top do to him.
I signed his petition and sent it to everyone in my address book.
I hope it helps to get him home.
