Demo lesson question
I have to do a demo lesson on Thursday and I've never had to do one before. And it's to 2 AP's and the principal, no students!
It's an SAT math lesson (I'm doing special right triangles I think) and must incorporate either PowerPoint or Smart Board.
Any suggestions on not looking like a dipshlt?

Re: Demo lesson question
I'll talk to DH. He had to go to SmartBoard training (no, I'm not kidding) and is working on some SAT math prep.

Re: Demo lesson question
I would maybe incorporate a link in your SB slides to the college board website. You can probably find their "Reference Info" and go right to it to show them what it will look like. The ratios are given in the formula section for every math section. Maybe see if there are sample questions there too. You could do a matching where you show some triangles and have all the side measurements off to the side. Have a "student" come up and match up the measurements. Have the rest of the "students" help them sort it out and check the answers before you make any corrections.
I would also be sure to incorporate an easy, medium, and difficult level question. You can incorporate a discussion of the different levels into your lesson. Princeton Review has some good practice books that would have sample questions of different levels and tips. They have a smaller workbook that's fairly inexpensive.
