chopped salads
I really want a chopped salad and the only place I can think of to get them are at bagel stores and they closed. For future reference, any suggestions on where I should go for a chopped salad? I live in Nassau.

most deli's will do a chopped salad. sequa in massapequa does.
and honestly the chicken chopped salad from panera is DELISH! although it's already kind of decided for you what is in it, you can ask them to remove anything you dont want

Thanks...I actually found out that they had chopped salads at Hale and Hearty Soups so I went over there!

Fairway!!! Best chopped salads I've had. They have a huge variety of mix-ins and it's not expensive. I had one today and it was $4.50 and I barely finished it because it was more than enough!
ETA: It's 5.99/lb but they weigh before the dressing is added. I had 5 mix-ins - carrots, sprouts, peppers, chicken, & feta in a mesclun mix.

I would like to know which one too because I have one by my office in Plainview but I never go there.
I'm there every week but have never seen this...maybe I'm just not looking in the right place. I hope it is because I'd be getting it all the time.

Plainview! When you walk in, you're in the Produce department. Make a left and it's right in front by the hot foods just before the registers.
It's not self serve -- you pick whatever you want and they will make it for you.
