Testing
Ladies, after how many months of actively trying, did you start getting tested. Such as having a sperm analysis and then workups for the woman? Thanks and

I guess it was at like 8 months of trying....but we lied and said it was a year b/c we kinda knew something was wrong. We were temping, charting, using OPKS etc and nothing was happening...
We had some blood work for me...came back normal. The OBGYN said to wait 5 more months. I waited one more and went to the RE...

I think the first thing they test is your thyroid, semen analysis and then a hysteroslapingogram (to check that your tubes are open)

Progesterone, estrogen etc on cycle day 3 is usually the standard.

I got tested about 2 mon after going off the Pill. They did the whole run with me on blood - thyroid, progesterone, estrogen, liver levels, etc. DH is going for his SA next month.....that will be formally 5 mo of trying.

I went after going over 100 days without AF.
After a couple months with an OBGYN who didn't know what he was talking about, I went to an RE.
So technically I got help after 6 months, but only got real help after 1 year.

I was tested after about 6 months of trying, although we had been "open to life" for some time and nothing had ever happened.
