C25K... question
I'm currently doing the C25K.
Did anyone actually lose weight or tone in this process, or did you generally stay the same and ?

Did you do anything else like dieting, etc...or your usual habits stayed the same? Trying to convince someone to do this with me

Re: C25K... question
My physical & emotion/mental well being has improved - the c25k has helped tremendously with both!

I did c25k with another 60 minutes at the gym and lost 15 pounds.

Re: C25K... question
While I think this program is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone, it probably won't really help her lose much weight. Depending on how fast you guys go, she probably won't burn more than 200 calories, and it's only 3 days a week.
If she doesn't end up eating more (which is definitely my tendency when I'm not working out), that's about 600 calories a week, which would mean it would take about 6 weeks to lose a pound. It's still 1.5 pounds by the end of the program, so it's not nothing, but it would be a lot easier to feel successful if she had other reasons she wanted to do it. (For example, if she joins something like MyFitnessPal, this would mean that she could eat an extra 200 calories on the days that she goes out for her runs. That's great incentive for me.)

I low carb for the most part, but nothing in my diet had changed- it was definitely the running that made the difference!

C25K... question
what im thinking of doing is doing this together with a friend. when the run if over and our heart rates are up, to continue with some light weights/strength training for 20-30 mins.
