Wii or x-box?
We were so good at keeping DS away from these, but yesterday he had a playdate at a friend's place and they played wii (Mario and Sonic - I think).
Now, of course, he added wii to his Christmas list, but DH thinks x-box is better. I have no idea about how any of those work.
Moms with experience on these, can you tell me which one would be better? Thank you!!!

My kids have both. When they were younger they liked the WII... now that they are older, they are all about the XBox.

For age 7 I would go with the Wii.
We got XBox when my oldest son was just about 12.

My son is 6 and loves the Wii. He says he will wait to get an X Box until he is a teenager lol. He loves Mario and only Nintendo systems have Mario games.

Anything you get at this age should be fine. If you have an old game system, hook that up. My mom gave us the wii, DS loved that, but it broke. Now DS is playing mario on my husband's old nintendo, he loves that too.

My 7 year old nephew is getting an X box for Christmas. Thefamily has had the wii for about 3 years.
Weare going to get a wii soon. But, I have a 5 year old DD which I think is very different.

My oldest began asking for the XBox last year when he as 8. I think my younger son was happy enough with the Wii but now plays the XBox too.

It depends how old the children are, but I definitely prefer the Wii. Much more family and children oriented games, xbox has more violent games and older teenage children play them.
