Surgery on Thursday...
Hi ladies...
So when I got preg over the summer a very large (10 cm) ovarian cyst formed on my ovary. After talking to my doc and doing research, these are very common in pregnancies and they actually form to support the pregnancy, but they usually only grow to about 5 or 6 cm.
After my MC at 11 weeks, the doctor told me that the cyst would probably go away after a cycle or 2... but it actually got bigger! (12 cm) and they are concerned about the size. So Thurs I am getting it removed and put on bedrest for a week.
FYI this is my first time ever having any type of surgery or even going to the hospital!! So I am freaking out slightly, even though its a minor laparoscopic surgery.
So just think of me on Thursday!!! After this is taken care of though I will be fully concentrating on baby making again!!

The surgery isn't bad at all. The worst part for me was shoulder pain. When they expand your belly with the gas it can affect a nerve. After a couple of days it was gone.

Surgery on Thursday...
Thanks for all the well wishes! It turned out that it was a Paratubal cyst in my right Fallopian tube (they thought it was in my LEFT ovary because of the way it was twisted I guess- the US tech at my docs office is also a complete idiot so she prob messed up taking the pics) So they had to make another in incision on the right side after already making one on the left, and a third on my belly button.
My Fallopian tube was twisted and swollen and it would greatly increase my chances for an ectopic preg, so they had to remove the tube. But my OB said thaf having only 1 falopian tube does not decrease my chances for pregnancy, and that my ovaries and uterus look good and healthy!
I am going crazy though wondering if the cyst caused complications with my pregnancy. They can cause ectopic pregnancies because of blockage in the tube but I am curious if it had another effect.... I mean it was really big- the doctors and nurses were amazed I didn't feel it.
If anyone has had a paratubal cyst let me know- I am curious to learn more info about them!
But for now I am going to take some Percocet and pass out because I am exhausted and in pain.
Just thought I'd give an update. Also we can start TTC again in 2 -3 cycles so more delays on the baby making :(
