Cost to Neuter Puppy
I just got a quote to neuter my dog and it is $455! I am shocked. The last time I got a puppy neutered I could swear it was only $250. My dog is 13lbs. Does this sound like the right price or am I being overcharged? Thanks!

Honestly, I don't know anymore. They quoted my SIL $1200 for a chihuahua mix! 
Look into ASPCA's low cost neutering- I think it's $75- $150 which includes the spaying, post-op medication, bringing them up to date on shots, nail clipping, and the cone. There was an additional cost, but they can also microchip at the same time.

I went to Kent Animal Shelter it was $95 for everything, neutering, medicine, anesthesia, etc.

I had mine done at north shore but there is a program where you buy a certificate and go to one of the participating vets and its def cheaper.

Please go to Muffin.org you purchase a certificate and you can use it at over 80 vets in NY State the cost for a female dog is $85 and a male dog is $65. I think you need to pay extra for pain meds after surgery!

I just checked how much it was for Shamrock. We got him Neutered, micro chipped and his Lyme disease shot all at once and it came to $470

You can definitely find better prices than that. Every vet is individual. I would just make sure they use a safe anesthesia like isoflurane, especially if you have a brachycephalic dog (a pushed in face like a bulldog or a pug etc.) You can probably ask for an "upgrade" from the lower priced S and N places. I would call around and ask what is included in that price and see if you can opt for a "safer" anesthesia.
