How do you make meatloaf so its not greasy?
Ive made meatloaf before, used one of those loaf pans and it came out disgusting..very greasy. How do you make meatloaf so it is not greasy?

How do you make meatloaf so its not greasy?
I bake it on a regular sheet pan so it's not sitting in the grease so much. I always use Paula Deen's old fashioned meatloaf recipe and it comes out great every time.

What above PP's have said is great advice. Also, try using 93/7 Ground Beef or Lean Ground Turkey.

I use beef and pork, and I bake it on a sheet pan instead of a loaf pan. I just shape it into a loafish shape. I like the crispy outer part, so a loaf pan wasn't cutting it for me.

Yep, I use very lean chopped meat (sometimes even 1/2 lean beef/ 1/2 ground lean chicken). Never greasy.

FYI - I you use turkey or lean beef, you might want to spray the pan first....unless you like scrubbing pans (learned the hard way)!

I use lean ground beef, bake it in a casserole dish and take it out about halfway through to get rid of any fat.

I bake it on a broiling pan so the grease can drip off.
(I use ground angus beef, ground turkey breast, and chicken sausage - without the casing.)
