I like turkey meatloaf. Just remember that turkey is drier than chopped meat so make sure you add the egg and even a little milk to keep it moist

Instead of milk, try adding melted butter. It keeps it very moist.

I would use a 1/2 stick melted (i'm not sure what that would equate to in "can't..."). I also use onions and mushrooms which will give it moisture too.

I also put in peppers and tomato sauce. That helps with the moisture. Please remember that chopped turkey needs lots of seasonings. I sometimes use a packet of lipton onion soup mix.
I have never used butter.

I have never used butter. I always use 1/2 a packet of onion soup mix when I make it with ground beef. thanks for the tips everyone!

I've used: egg whites and bread crumbs or Fat free mayo, peppers, oinions
And I also cook it in brown gravy or tom sauce.

Re: ok, fess up! Turkey meatloaf...
I'm going to attempt it tomorrow. I am adding an egg, breadcrumbs, onion soup mix, BBQ sauce and a little 1% milk (to keep it moist and calorie friendly). I'll let you know how it tastes! Better yet, how DH likes it because I am not telling him its chopped turkey

Re: ok, fess up! Turkey meatloaf...
Just wanted to let everyone know-I make this all the time and people LOVE it!
Use a can of cream of mushropom soup, crushed crackers(I use cheddar goldfish ) and onion soup mix-dry. Mix it all together and form then coat loaf in ketchup or bbq. you can use healthy request and it cuts down on the fat without eggs, milk, etc. I bake it with a meat therm so I know its cooked

Re: ok, fess up! Turkey meatloaf...
Made it tonight, exactly as I posted above. It tasted fine, I couldn't really tell.. My kids ate it no problem.
DH eats two pieces and then asks me if I used a different recipe I asked him why and he said it was good, just had a different taste.
I told him it was ground turkey instead and you would have thought I told him it was poop I should have just told him it was leaner beef and he would have never known.
But I liked it and will make it again.
