starting ww... again.. tomorrow
I lost so much last spring. Then I got sick, really sick, 3 days after I completed my c25k and did my first race.
After, I got out of the hospital, I was not allowed to run or do any activity of the sort for a long time. I was put on blood thinners and I had a very hard time adjusting to them so I had to cut out all leafy greens. (I swear I lost all my weight with spinach, salad and brocolli rabe). I really couldn't eat many veggies and I started to eat really bad again. I was SOOOOO tired for so many months that I came from work and could barely stay awake until my husband came home. In fact for a while I would just go to a family members house with DS and they would watch him while I slept.. SOOO we had to eat out almost every night because I just couldn't cook. Excuses, excuses...
In the end, I am okay and off meds now. I didn't gain back every pound but, I did gain back a little more than half. I have a big summer beach vacation looming ahead of me and I refuse to look like this. I will be in a bathing suit 24/7 and I want to be comfortable. So back to WW I go.
I am so not into this. I just want it to be easy. I have to lose 10 pounds by summer (just to get my BMI back out of "overweight") at least. 15 would be optimal. I was so proud of myself before.
I am not ready to start running again. I have to get there in my own time.. I am sure in a few weeks I will be motivated again.
Wish me luck.

Re: starting ww... again.. tomorrow
Just take it one day at a time. Start with eating right, following the points. Next week start with walking or another not so strenuous excercise just to get your body moving. Work your way up to running. Hang up your "thin" pictures around the house, keep out your bath suits or favorite clothes that you want to wear during your vacation. Maybe those things will get you and keep you motivated. Good luck!!!

Good luck!
I just started back after New Year's. I was disgusted with myself because I had lost about 40 lbs on WW back in like 2004-2005, and kept it off for about 6 years (even after I had my son). But after a big career change, the lbs kept creeping on and I had gained about 25 lbs of that back! UGH.
I was dreading resuming WWs -- I like my food and wine, and it's a lot of work to plan meals, count, measure. But now that I am back into it, I am liking it and feeling good about myself. The first week I was a little hungry, getting used to it, but since then, it's been ok.
I haven't really been exercising. Have to start incorporating that in. But just on the food change alone, I've lost over 6 lbs in 3 weeks (I weigh in again tomorrow). So I am happy.
I bet once you get back into it, the old habits set in and it won't be as bad as you thought. Also, I made my mom go back with me, and I've been posting on this board a lot, and that extra support has helped!

You can lose that by summer. I'm also on WW and I really like it! I'm a Lifetime member, who gained some back. After the holidays, I brushed myself off, started fresh. Tomorrow is my 3rd weigh in/meeting. So far, I'm down 7lbs. I feel so much better than I did a month ago.

Hey, Christine. I started on Saturday. I saw you and your mom at the meeting, I go to the 7am one. However, I was battling a killer migraine and on the phone so I didn't get a chance to say hi. Next week I will say hi! I just didn't want you to think I was being a snot.
So, I have a question... In the spring, I could swear the Ronzoni Smart Taste Pasta (love) was a point less than the regular pasta. Now it is coming out 5 points? I don't get it. Did it change?
I am 3 days down and hungry. I know I just need to push past this week and it will get better. I didn't do awful at the superbowl. I had planned to use all my 49 points and I didn't!! But, I am telling myself I did so that I reel it in the rest of the week and don't dip into the those points..... We will see.
Thanks for the encouragement. I just need to get down to lifetime weight (for the third time!! )

That is so funny! I didn't see you there, but I am so out of it when I stumble into the meetings, since I haven't even had coffee yet. Definitely come say hi next time - my mom would definitely remember you!
I noticed on the Points Plus there is not the same distinction between the whole grain carb products (pasta, bread, etc.) that they had on the old program, at least in terms of points values. I think on the old program the whole wheat was 3 pts a cup and regular pasta was 4 pts a cup. Now, all of the pastas are 5 points a cup now, to my knowledge. I still try to use whole wheat, though, but really, the points are pretty costly for anything carb-based, even if it's a "healthy" whole grain carb, like oatmeal.
I was much less hungry after week 1, so hang in there (I am on my 5th week now). But I have been using close to all of my 49 extra points. This week, I had friends stay over on Saturday into Sunday, and then went to a Superbowl party Sunday night, so I ate all of those points and then some! So today, I've been hungry, trying to stick to my 26 pts. They really don't go that far; I find I really have to plan out my meals and snacks to stay on track.
Hope to see you next week!
