I'm starting to see cats around my house - is this the start of a feral colony?
In the past few days I've seen the same 3-4 cats hanging out together. We saw them run out from under our shed too. I checked under there to see if there were kittens and didn't see any. What constitutes a colony? I will do TNR if they are forming one, but how do I know if they are? Or should I just trap them to be on the safe side?

You could trap them and see if they have micro chips or if they are already neutered...
