Night feedings question
Ok so for my first DS I did not warm the bottles (formula). I gave it to him room temp which made it easier especially when we were out and about.
THis time, I was thinking..let's say the babies wake up at night, which we know they will...I now have a 3.5 year old sleeping in the next room - do I want to risk the babies screaming while I stand there and pour powdered formula into each bottle, shake it etc OR should I make the bottles ahead of time and pop them into a bottle warmer...
What did you all do?

Night feedings question
i bought the dr browns pitcher and make bottles ahead of time. to warm them i just fill 2 cups up with water and microwave it for 2 minutes and let the bottles warm up in them. while they are warming i change their diapers and get them situated in the bouncers. by the time they are ready to eat the bottles are warm.
now, it doesnt always go that smooth...sometimes one of them is starving and screams his head off and i skip the diaper and do it after so my daughter doesnt wake up. (knock on wood) she has never woke up from their screaming, your other child will suprise you with what they can sleep thru!

Re: Night feedings question
Before DH went to bed after taking the 2am "shift", he prepared the next feedings bottles and put them in the fridge. I woke up for the next feeding and put the bottles in a large measuring cup with hot water.

Night feedings question
I always put the powder in the bottles, ready to go (still do). All I had to do was add room temp water I kept in the gallon in my room... It's the easiest! One they slept through the night, I started warming the water in a pyrex and then I added it to the powder. I had no intention of going all the way downstairs (2 floors) to warm water overnight. I think I'd trip and fall, lol. Once we only fed when everyone was downstairs, I started to warm it. Room temp is fine.....

i mixed the bottles ahead of time, and put them in a cooler with an ice pack. i then served them cold. that is how the babies prefer them. i never warmed them. not once.

Night feedings question
the twins room was right next to my son's room. what we found was best was a bottle measured out with the formula in it and another bottle already measured water in it - just dump, twist cap on, and shake - less than 30 sec a bottle
worked well for us and minimal light in the room necessary because everything was premeasured

Night feedings question
We served them cold straight from fridge if it was ready to feed formula. If it is powder then put in bottle ahead & just needed to add water.

We love our dr browns pitcher. You can make 30oz plus in one container. Definitely a lifesaver!
