Question about late night/early morning feedings?

DD wakes at 5am to eat. I usually change her diaper first since its wet and she tends to fall back to sleep while eating. Anyway she screams when I change her because she's so hungry (I guess) and wakes up DH.

Should I skip the diaper change (but its always soaked) or just do it after her bottle. I tried it in the middle of her bottle and she gets really upset.

I'd do it first bc the bottle puts her bck to sleep. Don't want to mess w/that ;)

I agree. Soon enough, she'll get used to the fact that the bottle WILL come after the change. DD used to scream bloody murder while we changed her. Now she's a lot more patient and only cries if we take too long.

Re: Question about late night/early morning feedings?

I start feeding Molly and change her diaper halfway through her bottle. That way she doesn't fall back asleep to quickly and eats much more of the bottle. Plus she is content during the diaper change.

I'd do it before. I always change the diaper before the feeding.

I would continue to do it before. Ava usually screams through most of her diaper changes (all really except poopie diapers) regardless of when they are. If I were you I'd rather her sleepy so I can slip her right back into bed.
