Boy/Girl Twin 1st Birthday Theme
Hello,
My husband and I are in the midst of planning our children's first birthday party. We were wondering what kind of theme we should have. Does anyone have any suggestions? We have a boy and a girl. They don't watch tv and are not familiar with any particular characters.
The party is going to be held in a restaurant and we are not having a character show up.

I have boy/girl twins
For 1st bday we did a winter wonderland theme (not sure when your twins were born)
For 2cnd we did a sock monkey theme.
I also like the idea of a color theme with maybe a design or polka dots

We did a Candyland theme for our b/g twins first birthday!
We had a candy buffet, multi-color balloon centerpieces, big lollipop arch over dj, giant gumball machine made of balloons, etc. It turned out cute and was gender neutral!

First Birthday we did Mickey/Minnie Theme
Second Birthday we did Blue Clues (blue puppy and Magenta puppy)
Third Birthday we had a circus theme which was lots of fun!

I have triplets...but BBG and we did a Doctor Seuss themed 1st Birthday party. They were also born on July 4th weekend, so the colors of red, white and blue went over well.
Love the candy land theme....I am not in the process of thinking what I want to do for their second!

we are doing a circus theme since our kids don't really know characters either but love animals and it has been pretty easy to "stay in theme"...

I didn't have a lot of kids either so we just put baggies at the candy buffet. The adults loved it too and were all taking huge bags of Candy home!

Simply Amazing!!! I might have to steal the candy buffet idea from you. It is such an inexpensive awesome idea!!! The gumball balloon is awesome. Thank You so much! I love all of the little details! You must have had an amazing celebration.
