Breaking through the plateau

What else can I do? I'm sticking to ww points and working out 5 to 6 days per week! So frustrated!

Re: Breaking through the plateau

Change your workouts, change your food and have a higher day of caloric intake! The bump in calories will cause your metabolic rate to increase that way when you go back to being in deficit you will be losing weight!

I would switch up your workouts and you may actually not be getting enough calories. You need to constantly challenge your body.

Re: Breaking through the plateau

I agree with the idea of switching things up with your workouts and food.

For me, on WW, I am most successful when I vary my points... for example, use a lot of points on one day (including weeklies), and then stick to my 26 dailies the next day. I think also incorporating new foods, instead of eating the same things all the time, can help. And varying how you spread your points out in a day... if you usually eat very light breakfast and lunch, and use a lot of points at dinner, maybe try doing the reverse for awhile.

And with workouts, if you do a lot of cardio, add in strength training/resistance. And/or vary the intensity of your cardio. When I was doing couch to 5K, which is designed to take someone from being a couch potato to running by alternating periods of walking with short bursts of running (that start to increase), I read that is great for your metabolism. Same idea with changing the incline/speed on a treadmill.

For me, though, the food/nutrition part of weight loss affects me much more than exercise.

Good luck!
