Regarding travel
Took the kids to Philadelphia: went on tour of Independence Hall, showed them Liberty bell, the room where Declaration of Independence was conceived and finalized, walked on America's oldest residential street, toured the house of the woman who made the first American flag, spent the day at an awesome children museum... "Ben, so what was your favorite part of Philly?" "The all you can eat breakfast buffet at the hotel!!!"

Re: Regarding travel
Sounds like my DS. If you ask him what his favorite part of Disney was, he will probably say the game room at the hotel.

My son said pretty much the same thing when we were flying home from the Bahamas!

Regarding travel
We took my daughter to Chicago last summer en route to DH's family in Milwaukee. The most memorable thing: "I can't believe you didn't take me to the American Girl store!"

Regarding travel
I think kids frequently tend to focus on some little thing that we barely notice. DH took my SS to the Auto Show at the Javitz Center last Friday (SS is reallyinto cars, big time). When I got home form work, I asked him how it was and the first thing he said was, "we had really bad knishes" - I was like, THAT's what you remember about the day?
