some puppy owners baffle me

I just watched a video of a family playing with a new toy breed puppy. All I could do was shake my head. The parent was encouraging a kid to pull at the puppy's toy in a game of tug of war. What did the puppy do? Go to bite/nip the child's hand until the kid let of the toy. Instead of seeing this and taking a cue that this was a poor way to play with the pup, the parent basically said, "Do it again!" and laughed. A few more times!

Yep, I just don't get people sometimes. This parent will someday complain about the pup being over protective of his toys or biting her kids.... and she will ask, "Why does he do that?"

Yeah or they will give the dog away or dump it in a shelter. It is sad, especially when there is an endless supply of information on how to raise a puppy available online.
