Not sure where you are located, but I know, love and trust Variety for my dc. Good luck!

Anyone have experience wth these schools?

LV ranks #2 on my list, but for most ppl it is their #1 choice. for us i felt BOCES CRC was a better fit for my DS, but i have nothing but raves about LV. DS received speech therapy from there, and it is a wonderful school

HASC is kosher, they follow the jewish calendar, they have early dismissal on Fridays. my cousin works there and loves it. DS didnt get in, but it was #4 on my list.

dont know ICCD

i would definately look at LV for speech delays, but it is a difficult school to get into if youre looking for a full day program

Little Village is a great school. I don't have any experience with the others.

My son goes to LV & I can't say enough about the staff there. They are so loving , caring, it's like one big family.

Even though it's not on your list, I highly recommend looking into Brookville Center for Children Services at Barbara C. Wilson Preschool in Woodbury. My son currently goes there. He is 4 and was diagnosed as being Apraxic, a severe speech disorder when he turned 2 years of age. If you have any questions just let me know.

Seems hard to get DS into this school .. seems like he has to start part time which gets him into to the door for full time which he has been diagnosed as needing. The woman I spoke to made it seem like there was a huge waiting list.

Re: Anyone have experience wth these schools?

if you are talking about LV, yes it is very hard to get into... and even if you do take a 1/2 day spot, the district may not approve it, if he qualified for a full day and it also isnt a guarantee for a full day the following year.

Re: Anyone have experience wth these schools?

When I spoke to little village about a month or so ago , they had 1-2 maybe openings for part time. If your IEP meeting has not been done, packet sent to them already, you likely will be on a waiting list yes. We ended up not going, cause we are in Suffolk and our district wont refer out to another county.

What was your DC given at your meeting for Sept?

IEP has been set up for FT prescription for Fall 2013 .. .LV only has part time ..... that is why I posted.
