Full day K in Northport area-ETA another question
Where do you send your DC for full day kindergarten? TIA!
ETA: Anyone just do the half day K? Do you think they'll be lost come 1st grade?

I think the only full day Kindergarten is offered at St. Pauls.
Maybe St. Anthonys as well.
The district itself is half day.

This is what we did.
We tried Trinity but hated it. Not the curriculum or the teachers, they were great.
I've heard great things about St. Pauls.

Kiddie Academy in Greenlawn will have full day Kindergarten for the 2013-2014 school year.

LU Day at St. Paul's- they have before and after care as well.
AM/PM Scope at P.S.
Tutor Time on Larkfield advertises a full-day K but I don't know anyone who used them

My DS goes here and I know of families who send/have sent their kids here from Northport and Kings Park areas because of the full day program.

My sister did Learning Experience for my nephew and they were very happy.

I know this is old but thanks everyone! I'm going to look into scope and kindergarten enrichment at a couple of the local nursery schools. I'll also look into st. paul's but I suspect that may be pretty costly!

St. Paul's tuition is comparable to Trinity's.
Their before and after care is payable by the hour, not a flat monthly rate which is very helpful for teachers.

We did this. It worked out very well for us.
NOT a fan of Trinity's administration but top notch teachers.
As for kids being behind/ahead - it may make a difference in kindergarten but everyone evens out after a few months.
