Did anyone get Pregnant with Clomid?
WOULD YOU RECOMMEND IT? STARTING MY FIRST CYCLE (TTC FOR 10 MONTHS)
I have long cycles but I ovulate regularly.

Re: Did anyone get Pregnant with Clomid?
I ovulate regularly too but was put on clomid to help improve chances bc it has you ovulate from multiple follicles. I got preg on my own between cycles so I can't really give credit to clomid but it's supposed to stay in your system for a few months so who knows!

neither of these statements about clomid are accurate.
you are NOT guaranteed to ovulate at all, let alone ovulate from multiple follicles. can it happen? sure. but dont have expectations of that being a guarantee. for some it does and for some its a stronger, earlier ovulation, and for some it doesn't do anything. everyones reaction is different.
furthermore it most definitely does not stay in your system longer than one cycle. i dont know where you heard that but you will need to take it again every cycle that you want to use it for ovulation induction. it has a half life of 5-7 days so even 5 pills will only last slightly longer than a month in trace amounts, and further more high enough amounts for it to be active are only for about a week after your last pill. it does not stay in your system as far as affecting future cycles ovulation.

Never produced more than one good follicle on clomid.
I have gotten pregnant several times on clomid, but the pregnancies failed for other reasons.

Re: Did anyone get Pregnant with Clomid?
Clomid actually stayed in my system after my first month on iit. I was taking 100mg CD3-7 that month it produced 3 good follicles. The next cycle we couldn't use clomid again bc if a big cyst. I again produced 3 good follicles on my own. Also still was having hot flashes really bad. Dr said it was from the clomid.
So it is possible for it to stay in you past the cycle u took it. Did to me. But only for that 1 cycle after that I went back to making just 1 good follicle on my own
ETA: yes, I got pregnant on clomid. It was my 3rd IUI, 4th cycle on clomid. It wasn't viable though.

it is still not really possible for clomid to be the reason. scientifically, the half life of the meds do not allow it to last in your system that long at levels that would have an effect on your ovulation. it is possible that your clomid cycle regulated you a bit for the next cycle, but it really wouldn't make sense for it to still be in your system at high enough levels to be effective for ovulation induction. the hot flashes could equally b attributed to higher e2 due to your body producing multiple follicles on its own. i mean stranger things i suppose have happened, but it doesnt make any logical sense.

I hear ya, but it was the case for me. I don't know how else to put it.
It didn't continue past the month after the clomid (I was off for 2 months - wait I think 3 months bc of the bad cysts) I had hot flashes and the blurry vision that clomid gives me as well. I have a LOW AMH. Maybe that means something? I'm lucky to make the 1 follie monthly (which I USUALLY do) but 3 mature follies the month after clomid? That wasn't on my own and the Dr. agreed. It happens. I always O on my own, so that's not the reason for Clomid in my case. For me it's to get as many ready for IUI as possible bc of my diminished reserve and quality (Due to age)
