Just got a Kindle - now what?
DH surprised me with an early anniversary gift that I want to bring on our cruise.
What is the next step? Just find books I like I "borrow" them?? When I access live-brary.com, it seems like most of the titles I wanted have a hold. We don't leave for another 2 weeks, so I am okay waiting for these books to come available.
Or should I just suck it up and buy what I want from Amazon?
Any advice would be appreciated, I am totally clueless with this thing!
Thanks!!

I have a Nook, but I don't really borrow from the library. Or livebrary. Or whatever. lol! I usually borrow from my Nook friends or just purchase whatever I want from the Nook store.

I just buy my books from amazon. If you go do the website, they have a list of free 100 books. I usually check that every week. I've found some really good finds there.
there are limited books that they allow you to 'borrow' for a week or two.

I just buy them too, if you have prime you get one free book a month. Also I think with a new kindle you get a month of prime for free? Def check that out.

I take e-books out from my town library. I'm allowed to borrow up to 5 at a time and it's free.

Same here. I can't believe how much it's saved me. I'm usually all about whatever is easiest & downloading from Amazon seemed easiest. I put the books I want on my library's wishlist.

There's also a whole bunch of free books on amazon too. I'm not sure if you have Amazon prime, but there's a whole lender's library at your disposal as well.
