Dr. Palter Gold Coast IVF
He was recommended to me by my acupuncturist; did anyone have or are is having a good experience with him?
I definitely need a different approach... so now debating between Palter or Braverman; I was told Braverman is not an RE.

Re: Dr. Palter Gold Coast IVF
And will he do anything "outside the box", like if I feel it may be a wheat allergy?

If YOU feel it may be a wheat allergy, then make the decision to change your diet... You don't have to wait for the doctor's OK to do something like that. Just because they might not think it'll help doesn't mean it won't!
That goes for any "alternative" medicines - herbs, acu, diet, massage, etc.

I agree. I was not 100% confirmed Celiac but the only way to confirm was a biopsy of my small intestine after going gluten heavy for a month and I couldn't deal with that before my wedding plus gluten made me very sick. My Dr just said to cut out all wheat and flour and see how I respond. I have felt amazing ever since. I went through a withdrawal period for a week but many do. Drs believe alternative medicine is purely your choice- you will have to make these changes. I have heard many Drs say to my face that it's a load of bull and I just smile and reaffirm that I feel great and love the lifestyle. Remember Drs are only human and only you know your body- you are not a text book. Acu has also balanced my periods, hormones, stress level- I just love it. My RE at the time did not like acu or promote it but I decided on my own and what a difference.

Re: Dr. Palter Gold Coast IVF
I was a patient of Dr. Palter for over a year. We did 2 iuis, ivf and 2 fets. His office staff is gret - in fact they were the reason i stayed for so long. He is very smart and knowlegable but I didnt find him to think outside of the box - excpet regarding acupuncture. When I was with him it was obvious that he didnt see a wide variety of patients with different issues. That being said, I believe that he helped me conceive my DD b/c I switched re's after my 2nd chemical with him and truly believe he helped me uncover a lot regarding my IF which helped my new RE design a protocol which was successful for me. He def gives you individualized attention which was great. Good Luck!

Run to Dr. Braverman. He deals with recurrent miscarriages. I did 3 cycles before seeing him...BFN. Then I went gluten free under his nurse's suggestion as well as doing a whole bunch of new treatments and now have a DD. Please fm me if you need anything.

Re: Dr. Palter Gold Coast IVF
Moved to Dr. Cohen at NSUH. I really liked Palter and his office but I severly hyperstimmed after my first ivf under his care (he handled it well but I do not think he took the initial precautions). At that point i felt I needed to be at a bigger practice who had seen similar cases to mine. I felt lke I was a first with Palter which does not feel reassuring as a patient. I think if you have a known diagnosis he is excellent but with unexplained he offered little guidance other than we have to do ivf at least 3 times to see if there is a pattern. Hope that made sense...
