Generators
We're looking to get a generator before the winter. Anyone have any recommendations - types of generators, etc.?

We are actually in the process of purchasing a home and this is going to be our first big purchase. My husband is looking at the Generac brand and we want a whole-house generator. Depending on how much power you need will determine the cost, the generators we are looking at are just under $3K.

WE looked into a whole house generator and we were quoted between $17k-$20k....too much for our budget. We ended up buying 2- 4000 watt portable ones. It ill generate enough power for 2 refrigerators and some other items we ned power for

We just bought one, had it hooked up already and just waiting for the Inspector to come & sign off on the job.
We got a Generac 20kw which will run our entire house.
