Vero Closed
I know that there were a lot of people here that liked Vero in Amityville--particularly for their Brunch.
Newsday's Food Blog just posted that it has closed down.

What a shame...link doesn't seem to be working though. Did they give a reason why?

Re: Vero Closed
That really stinks! I hope they re-open again. I went once and was very impressed!

Re: Vero Closed
The link should work, but just in case it doesn't:
Vero, the Italian restaurant that earned a three-and-one half star rating in Newsday in 2011, is “presently closed until further notice,“ according to the restaurant's voice-mail greeting.
Owner Michael Esposito could not be reached immediately for comment.
When it opened under executive chef Massimo Fedozzi, Vero specialized in Italian small plates. Under Joseph Roselli, his successor, the menu became more traditional but still featured excellent homemade pastas and a well-curated selection of cured meats and other antipasti.
Esposito is also the owner of Vittorio's Restaurant & Wine Bar, which has occupied a spot a few doors down from Vero since 2002.
