In the market for a new washer and dryer
Where's the best place to buy them. BTW, probably going with top loading machines, if that matters.

In the market for a new washer and dryer
I bought ours over the summer from Home Depot. Price was comparable and they delivered and installed for free. They also took the old ones away for free. No complaints.

PC Richards on Black Friday if you can wait.
I bought my Whirlpool there a few years ago and they were 1/2 off the regular price.

Re: In the market for a new washer and dryer
My front loading machine just broke a few weeks ago (only 4 years old), and basically could not be fixed without breaking the bank. We had bought the washer (and a dryer) from Sears in early 2009, and I really wouldn't buy from Sears again. It was so difficult to get a service call set up with a repairman, and I found their customer service to be really subpar overall.
So we replaced it with a basic top loader (I think they last longer -- the front loaders have a lot of bells and whistles in the way of computer/electrical stuff that can more readily break).
We bought from Jay's in Levittown, and had a very good experience. I think they are competitive price-wise, and had really good customer service. I think sometimes the smaller places do.

Re: In the market for a new washer and dryer
i got mine from PC Richards prices were good and they were offering no intrest for 2 years and free stands. I got front loader ones and they were a decent amount of money so i like the no interest for 2 years since we just moved into our new house and we had plenty of other expenses

Re: In the market for a new washer and dryer
try AJ Madison (ajmadison.com). We've ordered stuff several times from them, as well as FIL. Great prices. We have the Whirlpool Cabrio Washer and Dryer. We have a top loading washer that I love. Its HE like the front loaders, but fits a lot of stuff because it doesn't have the agitator thing, its still the HE for water efficiency, AND I like that its easy to leave the lid open in btween loads to dry out and avoid a mold, etc.

Re: In the market for a new washer and dryer
Marlin Appliance in Seaford. I felt like they had the best prices, were a small business and had everything in stock for delivery.
PLUS I got a bunch of rebates back that amounted to several hundred dollars.
