B12 shot
My body isn't absorbing the pills so now I have to get the shots twice a month. I got one yesterday and I asked if there were any side effects. Today my stomach is bothering me....
Has anyone had any side effects from the shots?

B12 shot
No experience with the shots but can you try a liquid? DH takes a liquid complex. I remember he did a lot of research in choosing what to take bc some forms are not well absorbed or effective. He's been taking it a few months and hasn't had any side effects.

There is a spray that my dr wants me to get... I will look for the liquid. Thank you.

what about the chewable/sublingual pills? those are absorbed better than the ones you swallow.

The problem with the pills is that my reflux meds are keeping them from absorbing. I found spray and will be trying that. I only had one day of feeling like blah with the shot.

Why are you getting the shot twice a month? I have family with pernicious anemia and I have had very very low B12 levels in the past and again now. I and family only got the shot once a month not twice. You might want to look into that. I could be wrong but I thought I heard the spray wasn't as effective.
As far as side effects I have had none other than I get much more energy back after getting mine. I have IBS and a lot bothers my stomach but never the shot (aside from slight sore arm). The pills did not work for me and they did bother my stomach.

There is also a patch you can wear, I would look into that.
