Got the go ahead to give the trigger shot tonight
Oh my goodness, can I really do this?
Tonight is going to be my first injection.
Ugh!  DH is going to do and I am already startign to get nervous and it's not going to be done for another 10 hours.
I'm just venting here...I hate needles and I can't believe that I am the one who pushed to do this.
Ok freak out over....for now at least.
ETA
I did it!
Darren is going to be so shocked when he comes home.
Diane and Lisa, you were right, it was very easy and painless!
I thought it would be worse to slowly put the needle in (wasn't sure if fast, hard and quick was the way to go) but I went at my own pace...it took me almost an hour to do it but I did it and I am so proud
ETA
The second shot took me less than 10 minutes to administer!

Went to the the RE today. I have four follies on my right side (measuring 16, 14, 12 and 11) and one follie on my left side measuring at 10. So glad that the shots are being effective!
ETA 7/5/05
Went to the RE this morning. I have 4 good sized follies on my right ovary and my lining did thicken up to 8 (woo hooo!) I got the go head to trigger tonight at 10pm and we will be doing the IUI on Thursday at 10am.

Ironically, I got weekly shots for YEARS and never batted an eye. Then a few years after they stopped, I developed a huge fear of them. Then I had to get shots again semi-regularly, and the fear went away. So maybe after you do this tonight you'll realize that it's not so bad after all. You'll be fine!

Oh Deb, I'm not going to say that I can relate (because for whatever reason needles don't really freak me out like some of you girls) .. nor am I going through what you are going through right now, so I cannot really "help"
BUT I am here for ya .. and I KNOW you can do this .. you CAN ... deep breaths.. destress your mind, keep yourself busy today.. dont think about it, the buildup is going to be worse than the actual needle itself! Studmuffin will be right with you and I KNOW you will be fine
Just keep telling yourself that the end result will be soooooooooooo worth that little teeny moment of pinchy pain

Deb, I'm not really scared of needles, but I stood there poised and ready for at least 15 minutes before I could do my first shot. I must have made about 5 attempts before I actually touched skin. And let me tell you, I was so surprised that I barely felt it!! The needle is soooooooooooo small it was like nothing!

No, don't refrigerate the Repronex...
Just a hint with Repro...after you fill the syringe, let it sit 5 minutes, and make sure none drips out on the needle head and touches your skin, otherwise it can burn.

I just tried for about 20 minutes to do this myself and not wait for Darren. I thought it would be better to just get it over with.
I couldn't do it though.
