$72 for a makeup brush seems reasonable.
Does that come with a makeup artist too? Because that would be a steal!
Man, I thought I was a baller when I dropped $30 on 1 makeup brush!
this is what I was thinking when I said "not cheap out - 30ish, LOL.
I just saw on FHF that this sort of turned into drama and had to see what it was all about.

Re: Makeup Brushes
I had to choose between paying my car payment this month or a new blush brush... and I chose the brush.

Or you can put it over your head!
I actually really like the ELF brushes and they are crazy cheap. I bought a brush from Sephora (I don't know, the lady talked me into it) and I HATE it. I went to CVS and bought more ELF brushes.

Re: Makeup Brushes
I have to tell you, I use CVS brushes (Essence of beauty or something like that) and they are awesome. I've had them for at least 3 years and the hairs never fall out, they're not misshapen, etc.

Re: Makeup Brushes
My top five brushes:
Giant face brush - think it's called kobuki - I have a Bare Escentuals
Angled blush brush - I have a Bare Escentuals and I think a Sephora one. Sephora one keeps it's shape better but the bristles fall out more often.
Eyebrow brush/shaper - I think it's a no name brand
Eyeshadow brush - I have a million and my fave is a no name one, sorry. It has a natural wood color handle, and the metal thing that's around the bristles is like a teal color. LOL.
Eyeliner brush - I use it for my darker shadows - I have a million and I use the Sephora brand the most.
Honorable mention - I have an eyeshadow blender brush from Bare Escentuals. It's super awesome for blending the shadows... I don't know it's technical name. But it's amazing.

Re: Makeup Brushes
I really like Eco Tools. They are probably the closest to a complete set that I have. I have a mix and match of other brands (Laura Mercier, MAC, Bobbie Brown). I tried Sephora brushes but I don't really like them.

Makeup Brushes
I actually am awful with makeup brushes and I have a TON of makeup, i'm obsessed with buying it, using it, collecting it, etc. but have never had a good makeup brush until recently.
I got a great one from the Estee Lauder counter. The girl used it on me and I fell in love. it's FANTASTIC!
It's the Blush Brush 15 - $34 here, i'm sure you can find it cheaper. To me, this was expensive for a stinkin brush lol

Have you used their eyelash curler? I've read so much about it but haven't taken the plunge yet.

Re: Makeup Brushes
I have expensive brushes - my sister is a stylist/makeup artist and gets them at cost.
that said, I couldn't tell you what to do w/ 1/2 of them .......but the ones I do use (blush, bronzer, shadow. liner) are really well made and do make a difference in applying my makeup - I like to be done and blended in 5 minutes

I purchased it and hated it. I went back to my Revlon curler because it seemed to fit my eye better.

I have some Mac ones that are OK but I love love love the Ecotools make up brushes. They are so soft, do the job well and wash well. They sell them in CVS, Target, Amazon, etc. Super affordable too.

The problem I found w/ was that when the rubber thing padding the curler got warped, you had to purchase another one. There were no pads you could buy to replace if i remember correctly. I mean the curler itself isn't all that expensive, but why would you need to toss out a perfectly good curler each time the rubber padding got messed up? I just ended up using a bic pen cap to curl my lases like curling ribbon...I'm pretty sure I posted about it here before

Re: Makeup Brushes
I like the kabuki brush from Two Faced and I have a pencil brush from MAC that is nice as well. Other than that I like this brand from Christmas Tree Shoppe...the ones with the red handles (can't think on the name).

Re: Makeup Brushes
I have a few Mac and elf. I don't know how to apply make up properly to notice the difference btwm brands though.
I totally get where ppl are coming from with the sarcastic responses. This weekend while speaking to a friend, I realized not everyone's pocket is the same. I had similar sarcastic remarks for items at a store my friend works in and she politely shut me down lol.
