How big of a turkey do I need?
There will be 11 adults and 4 kids. Anyone know how much turkey I would need per person?

a 12lb to 14lb should work. Rule of thumb is 1lb per person, but I wouldn't necessarily count the kids as they will eat much less.

FYI, two smaller birds cook faster than one huge one, and you get more drumsticks (our family always fights over drumsticks, so more is better).

I like leftovers and I'd rather have too much than too little so I would do AT LEAST a 20lb turkey.........probably bigger.

I just bought a 24 lb. it's for6 adults and 2 kids. We love leftovers so I would never buy anything small.
