Feral cat "problem"
I have feral cats at my house. Just realized they had kittens. 4.
I know I can pay to have them neutered. They are still nursing from momma so I have no idea what kinds of problems this can cause. I certainly don't want them to die. Just not make more babies.
I am in Suffolk. North shore. If anyone knows an agency, or how to deal with it please let me know. I am willing to pay for all 5 cats. Just don't know how to proceed.

try calling licatproject

However I had called a local woman who never returned my calls. Maybe you will get better luck. Those poor babies, it's getting so cold out.

Re: Feral cat "problem"
I took my aunt's stray to Kent in Calverton. It is far, but the fee was $55.00. That was a year ago, it may have increased. That is so nice of you to do this.

It is freezing cold out. Is it possible that you could house the mama and kittens in a garage or inside until she stops nursing? It is also easier to keep track of them to get them neutered/spayed. Island rescue in Bayshore has low cost vet services. Also if you start handling the kittens now, you can socialize them and rehome them.

This and also don't separate them while they are nursing. The mama cat shouldn't be spayed either right now so soon after giving birth.
