my (former) feral cat just made another HUGE gain!
for those who don't remember: i adopted a feral cat in sept 07--she was feral, not stray. i couldn't touch her for months. she hid under a couch. i didn't know what i had gotten myself into because she was so terrified of people. she's slooooowwwly been coming around with me training her.
last night, for the first time, she jumped on the bed and laid down!! DH and i were shocked because she never goes anywhere he is (she's scared of men).
all night she would jump down to roam around then jump back up and go to sleep. i am just so proud of her!!!
she's becoming a "real" kitty. she has come so far from the wild beastie i adopted. i just hope she has forgotten the 5 years she was out in the rain and snow and only remembers the love and attention (not to mention food!) she gets daily now.

That is wonderful!! She is getting there. Soon enough she will take over the whole bed and you will be sleeping around her.

That is great news!!! You must be making a real difference in her life!
One of the reasons I love cats so much is that they really are just like humans--they have to earn your trust and you really notice it when they finally trust you.
