NYC vegetarian friendly restaurant suggestion?
I am trying to plan a Christmas dinner with a few friends and I am having trouble picking a restaurant that meets everyone's requirements.
1-Vegeratian friendly, but not exclusively vegetarian
2- Affordable - entrees under $30
3- Takes reservations for small parties (we will be 5)
4-Cuisine is open. We are mostly looking at Italian, just b/c it is the most likely to meet #1 & #2, but we are flexible.
5-Neighborhood is flexible. Anywhere in Manhattan, since we are coming from all over.
I have done searches and been all over Chowhound, but everything is too expensive or doesn't take reservations, or doesn't have any openings on the night we picked.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Ninos 49 is great---and if you book the reservation on Savored you get 20 percent off the entire bill.

NYC vegetarian friendly restaurant suggestion?
Spring Street Natural. It has a number of organic, veg options plus grass fed beef burgers for the meat eaters.

Thanks all. I did look into some of these ideas, but either other people didn't want to go or they didn't have reservations available on the night we picked. I will keep Friend of a Farmer, Spring Street Natural & Fat Radish in mind for the future though. They all sounded good to me (and I am not the vegetarian in the group.)
We ended up going with Frankie's 570. We have been there before & it was very good. I thought they didn't take reservations, but they do.
They have several meat free pasta dished, eggplant parmesan & many vegetarian appetizers.
It was strange to me how hard this was in NYC. In my small town in Westchester just about all of the restaurants have a few vegetarian entrée options.
