Vegan friendly restaurant in NYC
Doesn't have to be a vegan restaurant, just one that has a few choices for a vegan eater. Midtown west preferred, but I'll consider other areas! Thanks!

Zen Palate is in midtown west.

Zen palate is right there. I also find that asian restaurants are very good and i go to Room Service pretty often.
Candle 79 and Candle Cafe are really good and really built around being veg

Vegetarian paradise is my favorite!
Also Kate's Joint on 4th and avenue A if you don't mind trekking a bit. It's this funky little vegan diner and its sooooo good!
Candle cafe is more gourmet and truly to die for. Zen palate is good.
Honestly, NYC has SO many vegan friendly options. It's the one thing I miss about living there (ok.... One of many things!!!)

I love Spring Street Natural in Soho. They have vegan plates, also vegetarian, and seafood, poultry. SO GOOD and great location for shopping / subway access!!

OMG Kate's!!!!! I haven't been there in forever! That "turkey club" was great....but they would always mess up the order or forget half of it!

I was a vegetarian living in NYC for a lot of years. People already named all the places I would have.
Spring Street Natural is awesome, really tasty, and pretty casual. It's way downtown but right off the subway. I used to love it and went a lot before I moved to LI.
Red Bamboo in the West Village - my non-vegetarian DH and I went on dates there all the time and it was probably his favorite. It has tons of fake "meat" options.
Candle 79 - the kind of place you'd go to celebrate a birthday or graduation. Delicious, but very expensive.

If you are sensitive to MSG, Zen Palate is a no no. Although the food is tasty, the chefs have a heavy hand with it. I am sensitive to it and literally had jitters from it.

If you really wanna go nuts... Try Pure Food and Wine
It's my fave restaurant of all time.
Vegan. Organic. And raw!
It's gourmet raw foods. Amazing.
