Oil questions

Contract is up!

Wondering what you have recently paid to lock in? I'm thinking of doing COD this year, looks like 3.36 right now in discount-fuel.

If you do COD, who do you use for maintenance contract on the burner?

Thanks!!!

Oil questions

Locked in with slomins for $3.45. Includes the maintenance contract. We signed up with them at the mall. They're offering $3.29 and the contract is $125. We added .15/gallon instead of paying the 3.29 b/c we only use 300-350 gallons per year so it will cost us less in the long run. We were previously with petro and they wouldn't go lower than $3.71/gal.

Interesting because I was with Petro and at first they offered me a similar deal to renew. I went out and signed up with Slomins for the $3.29. Petro saw they were going to lose a customer I went through three levels of retention and got them down to $3.549 with a free service contact. Not bad. I cancelled Slomins within the three day window.

Petro covered more parts in their service contract which is the main reason why I stayed.

Also check the Slomins contract they require 600 gallons of oil a year. Not sure if that applies to you or not.

We asked and they said it's fine, they just won't offer us as good of a deal after the year is up.

Re: Oil questions

I use Discount Fuel, also. I've been very happy with them. They can also service your burner. Costs $150ish.

One morning, I was running very low on fuel. I ordered online around 8am and it was delivered by 9:30. Chat Icon

I will never go back to a contract.
