Anyone else's DC giving them a hard time now that it's back to school?
My DD gave me a hard time about doing homework and def has been a bit difficult (for her) since the break. Anyone else dealing with a more difficult child since the long vacation?

DD missed school so much, she took her hw out of her bag and did it right away.

My ds is up but he doesn't want to get out of bed in the dark. He keeps telling me it's the middle of the night. Lol. It's only been since the break, yes.

Actually he has gotten slightly better.
We have basically been dressing him while he was sleeping and throwing him in our trucks though, then dropping him off.
I'm home sick today and I just did this. I felt so bad because he cried a little and wanted to hug on me but I'm already afraid he's gonna catch what I have.

Not with school but my 4 year old refuses to go to any of her extra activities (dance etc) that she loved and always went to pre vacation. Very annoying bc she insisted we sign her up for new things and new sessions. These are things she usually loves.

Yes. DS who has loved kindergarten since it started, was saying during the break, "I think Im going to be absent on Monday."
He was a little whiny at the bus stop. But is back into the routine.

Today was the first day without a battle during homework. Monday through Wednesday was torture!

I lied and said that his teacher assigned homework over vacation. So, he did homework everyday. It helped me limit TV and we kept in routine.

My kids really enjoyed the time off so yes a bit of an issue getting back to school routine. What I find most difficult is getting them out of bed.

Monday he did fine but Tueday he had the tantrum of his life. Pretending to be sick, begging to stay home. I knew he wasnt sick and stuck to my guns and brought him. Luckily the rest of the week was good. It's hard getting back into routine.
