2 ww and going to a spa

My birthday is this Thursday and we will be going up to Atlantic City. DH booked a massage for me. Is it OK to get that done? Also, what about going into the spas hot tub or sauna? Assuming that's a big fat no, right?

2 ww and going to a spa

After a year of TTC, I don't put anything off during the 2 ww.

But I am curious to GoodThoughts, why no hot tub/sauna??

If you're doing a monitored cycle, I'd stay away from the sauna. In normal, everyday life you wouldn't even know you were in the 2ww, but if you're TCC and paying all this extra money to be monitored, I wouldn't risk it.

Re: 2 ww and going to a spa

I remember two REs saying No to hot tubs/extreme elevation in body temps. Massage is actually just as therapeutic as acupuncture bc it increases blood flow so I think that's okay. My RE always said yes to massages.

Courtesy of American Pregnancy Association:

"According to the Organization of Teratology Information Services (OTIS), a body temperature of 101º F and above can raise concerns during pregnancy. Some studies have shown an increased risk of birth defects in babies of women who had an increased body temperature during the first trimester of pregnancy."
