Those with a high ranch

Do you have a nice entertainment area in your back yard? DH and I want to concentrate on our backyard come the spring and we have plenty of property but no real entertaining area for BBQ'ing or anything. We have an upstairs deck off of our dining room that we have a small table and chairs but under the deck on the lower level is a cement patio that gets zero sun exposure due to the deck above. We have the BBQ down there but it's a pain to cook down there and then have to go back upstairs to sit.

We don't want to do a compete overhaul and have a deck built because we plan on selling in a couple of years, so we are just looking for some ideas on what others have if you have a deck on the 2nd level.

My ILs have a high ranch. DH put in a patio for them (he does this for a living) and they also have a high deck and then a low deck on part of the grass. They also put up one of those fabric gazebo's that opens up if they want that still gives lots of shade. They have nice outdoor couches under there and a hot tub off the patio.

ETA: They also have a BBQ both on the top deck and a nicer one on the ground.

We have a 2 story deck. We keep our bbq on the upper level w table and have a bar on the lower level. We very rarely entertain outside though.
