Beagle Freedom Project
Has anyone heard of this organization? I had a very disturbing conversation with a woman in Petco yesterday. She is a volunteer for them.
Beagles are used for labs to test meds, household items etc. These dogs are bred from breeders and given right to the labs. The lab will release the "healthy" dogs once the testing is complete and they are then adopted out through the beagle freedom project. But most of these dogs don't know how to be dogs, aren't socialized, have lived in a cage its whole life.
If you can like their facebook page and help spread the word. I don't know what else I can do at this point besides donate. But when the time is right for me, I can definitely see myself adopting one of these dogs. Gotta make sure I have the time and attention to give.
These poor dogs.

Re: Beagle Freedom Project
I knew about this in high school and I used to post flyers around school about this. Horrific what is done to these dogs, I won't even go into detail the things I saw and read. I will visit that Facebook page.

Re: Beagle Freedom Project
I first saw it on the news. I can't remember which station but it was a mini docu type story. They had followed a couple of rescued beagles from the lab, where they were caged for their entire life, to their first steps onto grass and fresh air. It was awful and awesome at the same time. I'm sure you can you tube it or even find it on their page.
